Woke up this morning with a big fat smile, despite having to reach office by 7.30am. This has been, undoubtedly, the BEST weekend ever. And, I have a few people to thank personally for that.
Let's do it chronologically.
Friday (17/3/06)
Andrea got me a pass for Cleo's Bachelor's Party @ MOS. Was my first time there, have heard so much abt the place but never got a chance to go down because of the stupid queue. The place is pretty nice, didn't get to check out the themed rooms because I had to leave early for Cathay. The bachelor's party was alright, it got a lil draggy towards the middle because I thought there were too many of them. Cleo should consider shaving the number down to like, 30? Or maybe even 20.
Sat (18/3/06)
Andrea insisted I had to meet her by 2pm and I was really suspicious. When I finally met her, she passed me my birthday gift and I understood why! She bought tickets to Army Daze the play!! I was so surprised and that wasn't all. Her birthday gift truly kicks ass. It was immensely sweet and thoughtful. There was this LOVELY photoframe where she placed our (photoshopped) photos and I love it so much. Very very nice, definitely going up on my bedroom wall. Then, there was a box where she kept all the other gifts. FCUK Polo Tee, I really dig the colour. Kiehl's Moisturiser and Lip Balm (My savior!) Scrapbook which had a lot of photos and nice comments inside, all the places that mean something to us. I teared when I read one page about Esplanade's rooftop terrace, shall not write the details here but it was reallllllllly touching. An (overpriced) necklace. Army Daze was hilarious, very very entertaining. The only bumper was that I bumped into Dunman High at the drama centre because they were also there for the play.
Met the rest of supper gang at night for dinner. Eme & James MADE me this big ass card that I love, SO FUCKING nice. Another one that is going up on my bedroom wall. Leo, Huimin & James got me a lava lamp and I thought that was it but hang on for that.
Dinner was delicious, I've not had Indian food in awhile so that was nice. Wanted to watch Failure to Launch but it was sold out so we caught Dorm and I must say it goes right up there with Domino as one of the worst movies I've ever paid money to watch.
Sun (19/3/06)
I woke up late so I couldn't keep to my promise of going to church with James but I went to my own church with my mom and brother. Met Ah Morr for lunch and THIS IS WHEN THE FUN BEGINS.
She gave me an envelope which had my first clue. I had to head to Starbucks to collect a drink and my next clue which led me to the glasshouse. Alicia, Ade and Deon were there to pass me my next clue after I did my forfeit which was a really funny SA joke. The next clue brought me to Moo's place where Jeanne and her made me do the Macarena. This is when things kinda got screwed up. I was supposed to go to Dunman High but somehow, the clues got mixed up so I was told to go to Simpang. Bumped into James and Andrea there and we found out about the mixup so I was sent to Dunman. Oh, did I mention I had to travel by public transport everywhere? WTH. Haha was SO surprised to see the entire Dunman clan. Porky, Yucks, Szehui, Amelia, Meimei, Ling, Qing, Yongsheng & Yiu Tak! Had to sing 'Wannabe' before I got my clue which led all of us back home. When I got back, they all came out to surprise me. James, Leo, Andrea, the Dunman gang, SA people AND THE 2 KIDS. Emmanuel & Mikey.
That's when I found out that my parents were part of the plan as well. Cut my cake and took lots of photos with everyone. I had such a fucking great time yesterday and the surprise was realllllllly beyond my imagination. Kudos to Ah Morr for that, I heard she was the chief planner. This has been a really special birthday and it was SO nice to see all the people I love under one roof, gathering together for ME.
So very happy (: Will post the photos later.
Morr- Bitch, thank you so much. Like I said, this gives you bragging rights for the next 10 years. This party beats the surprise party I planned for you hands down. I'm really impressed at how you managed to pull it off with so many people involved, the game and gift you made was amazing. Very very "Elizabethtown". I love you so much, I never wanna call it quits with you. Thank you once again.
Andrea- We've come a long way now. From leaving no impression whatsoever till today. Besties. There's nothing I can't tell you and nothing we can't do together. Of the 3 most important girls in my life, you are most similar to me. We are superficial (HAHA) and spoilt rotten. And, that's why I love you! Cause at the end of the day, you make all my wrongdoings seem so acceptable. Thank you for the lovely gift, not just about the cost but for how thoughtful they were.
Ling- THE BEST FRIEND. Where is my present? Haha. You've been there every step of the way, you taught me how to love, we shared so many special "first-times" together and for that, you are indispensible. Nobody can EVER replace you in my heart and the love we share goes WAYYYYYYY back. It was great to have you at the party, because no birthday party of mine could be complete without you being part of it. Here's to 7 great years of friendship and 77 more to come! (Man, we're old.)
James- Everybody knows that in my world, 99% of my friends population are girls. Thank you so much for all that you have done, I LOVE BOTH THE LAVA LAMP AND THE ED HARDY CAP. Yes, you bugger. The cap is SO expensive, really din expect you guys to buy it for me. Did you know the USB cable isn't extra actually? I stole it from my brother for you. Heh. I'm glad we got so much closer this semester, sorry for making you do J2 last time, HAHAHHAA. Your selflessness truly inspires me and I only want the best in life for you. Cause nobody else deserves it as much as you do. I look forward to the many suppers + drives! I love you bro!
Leo- Never would have thought we could be this close. To me, you were always the "guy-guy" sorta person so I thought we could never click. Thank god you were in my class this sem and thank god, we were in the same proj groups. I've seen you cry, laugh, get pissed off ("Can you just shut the fuck up!") but I still love you. You're an amazing guy who stands up for his friends, takes great care of all the people around him and genuinely wants to help everyone. You often go out of your way to help people and that is what makes you and James the best people around I know. I hope you will find happiness soon but until then, you can spend time with me (: Love ya!!!
OMG, I still have so many people to thank. I will do the remaining individual shoutouts together with the major photo update later alright... Thank you to all that made it such a special weekend again.
